Makeup Artist vs Do-It-Yourself
There are many reasons to use a bridal makeup artist. The top reason is that you have an appointed professional ready and waiting to provide you with the finest personalized service you can possibly receive.
It can be very reassuring to know that on your wedding day, looking your radiant best isn'’t yet another thing you will have to do yourself.
By using a makeup artist, you can guarantee a professional, stress-free makeup application on your big day.

Your Bridal Consultation
Your Bridal Consultation
Your consultation should take place at least 4 weeks prior to the event. This is the perfect time to discuss the details about your personal style, desired look and any special needs you may have (covering tattoos, etc).
At this time, we will also discuss the type of photography you will have at the wedding so you will look great in person and in the photos. Your bridal consultation includes a hands-on trial makeup demonstration.
Your makeup consultation is included in your bridal rate and goes toward your balance (when your wedding date is booked during your trial).

The Bridal Party
Bridal makeup application is available for the bridal party as well. It provides a polished and coordinated look for the group photos.
At the time of consultation, it is the bride's responsibility to provide an accurate estimate of who will want their makeup done. The deposit is 1/2 of the total and should reflect the appropriate number of bridesmaids and persons who will desire makeup.
The deposit ensures that I schedule enough time to do makeup for everyone.

On the day of your wedding, I travel to you!
Whether the makeup needs to be done in-home, at the wedding venue or in your hotel suite… it will be a great relief to know that you will not have to rush around to get your final makeup preparations completed.
I travel up to 10 miles outside of the city of Chicago without a travel fee. Travel fees vary based on distance, and usually average about $0.50/mile (driving). If destination is less than 10 miles, no mileage rate is applied.
I am also available to travel to different states and travel fees are available upon request.

Bridal Skin Care Tips
The best pallet for a great makeup application is healthy skin…...
In the weeks preceding your wedding day, well maintained skin will help to prepare it for a more seamless makeup application. No one’s skin is perfect, but adopting a healthy-skin regimen will be a wonderful start toward achieving that “bridal glow”. It also helps to minimize imperfections like, dark circles, blemishes and redness. Healthy looking skin is always in! So taking this extra step will make a beautiful difference in your makeup application.
Proper cleansing/exfoliation and moisturizing will facilitate a more healthy looking result. Try to avoid caffeinated, carbonated and sugary drinks and drink plenty of water as this helps to keep skin hydrated.

No-No’s!
Avoid hindering your makeup application –- do not neglect your skincare routine
Avoid facial breakouts/reactions –- don'’t try out new skin care products prior to your wedding
Avoid appearance of redness in photos - no tanning within one week of your wedding
Also:
Be sure to wax/shave all necessary areas (brows/lip/chin) in advance of your scheduled makeover. Smooth, healthy skin will make a world of difference in your photos.
